For this fun card, I played around with a variety of elements and techniques. I wanted to play with some new product I had received as gifts or in the case of the Whiff of joy stamps, ones I purchased. As a Stampin’ Up! Demo with little time to stamp and play lately, I have limited myself to SU products but these new products were calling out to me to be used. This card started from an idea I got to combine the dress I first saw on Patty Bennett’s site with the popup techniques in The Pocket Paper Engineer, Volume I: Basic Forms: How to Make Pop-Ups Step-by-Step by Carol Barton.
Once I got the dress figured out and perfected, I had to decide what to use for text and front cover graphics. Let me tell you, that was the hardest part. I decided to play with my new Whiff of joy stamps from the spring collection and my copic markers. I figured I could have the young man send greetings to his sweetie along with a pretty gown.
I used the following supplies:
Stamps- Best Wished and More by Stampin’ Up (text) and Oakley with slipover and Tree Stump by Whiff of Joy Stamps
Inks: Pacific Pint from Stampin’ Up, Rich Cocoa by Memento, Copic Markers
Accessories: Scallop circle Die by Stampin’Up!, Adhesive ribbon by Joann Fabrics
Whisper White Cardstock, Printed cardstock by My Mind’s Eye
