Little Cards from leftovers….

What do you do with the large leftover bits of 12 by 12 cardstock? You make it into little odd sized cards to sent someone special.  smplanesimple-(4)I have a family of flyers on my husband’s side so I was so thrilled when the Plane & Simple set came out this spring. This first card uses a leftover strip of cardstock that is solid on one side and printed on the other. Because I liked print but felt it was too busy for the plane, I folded my cardstock so I had 3/4” of the inside showing when the card was closed.smplanesimple-(1)

I placed my stamped mat inside so it wouldn’t show when the card was closed and define the area I wanted to use for a personal message.

For my second card with leftovers and this set, I made a trifold with a piece of Pacific Point in the center overlapping the opening and containing my front design. When I got the plane and text in place it felt like it was missing something but I was limited on space and didn’t want to scrap the whole thing and start over so I sponged some Whisper white on creating clouds and Voila!smplanesimple-(2)

For the inside I stamp a quick verse from curvy verses and the card was done and ready to send.
