What do you do with the large leftover bits of 12 by 12 cardstock? You make it into little odd sized cards to sent someone special. I have a family of flyers on my husband’s side so I was so thrilled when the Plane & Simple set came out this spring. This first card uses a leftover strip of cardstock that is solid on one side and printed on the other. Because I liked print but felt it was too busy for the plane, I folded my cardstock so I had 3/4” of the inside showing when the card was closed.
I placed my stamped mat inside so it wouldn’t show when the card was closed and define the area I wanted to use for a personal message.
For my second card with leftovers and this set, I made a trifold with a piece of Pacific Point in the center overlapping the opening and containing my front design. When I got the plane and text in place it felt like it was missing something but I was limited on space and didn’t want to scrap the whole thing and start over so I sponged some Whisper white on creating clouds and Voila!
For the inside I stamp a quick verse from curvy verses and the card was done and ready to send.
