Fancy Folds are so much fun to do, and often oh, so simple too. This one starts out with a simple gate fold, as in fold the top and bottom in toward the center until they meet. then you embellish the front with an Oval frame die cut with the center portion attached only to the top of the card base and the outside frame only attached to the bottom of the card base. Both parts are attached with Stampin’ dimensionals. Note if you want to stamp around the frame on the base card it is easier to do prior to attaching the ovals.
In the next photo you can see what the card looks like opened up. I embellished the white cardstock on the inside with same butterfly stamp I used on the outside.
The 2 pieces of the oval frame fir together like a latch to close.
Below you can see a second card in different colors and different background stamps. I found it amazing how different the colors alone made the two cards look.
