When I was in California a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet with and enjoy the talents of some lovely ladies in my Downline. (they are recruits of my downline Jennifer) I will be sharing with you some of the cards they designed over the course of the next week.
Today I am going to share 2 of the cards Pamela Wu designed for her Meet-up while I was there. They both use the Paisley Prints DSP that we got a taste of in April and will see again in the new catalog in July. First is a thinking of you card.
Thinking of You Card Recipe:
Stamps: Silhouette Sentiments, Four Frames
Ink: Bajaj Breeze, Night of Navy
Paper: Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand and Whisper White CS, Paisley Prints DSP
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Snail, Sheer Ribbon
This next card uses the same DSP with a very simple but effective layout to say “Happy Birthday”
For this design you start with a piece of DSP that is ¼” narrower than your Soft Suede Mat and ⅛" shorter than the Soft Suede Mat. You then cut it into 3 equal panels (or as close as you can get) and glue it to the mat leaving the same amount of Soft suede showing between each piece and on the outside borders.I placed my two outer pieces down first and then centered the center piece in the remaining spot. your matted message (Happy Birthday in this case) goes in the center. And voila! you’re done.
