Bleak Birthday…not!

What do you do with a a leftover winter image when winter is over? Turn it into an all year round card. As the year ages so do we and this scene seemed somehow appropriate for a birthday card some an older friend or family member. Despite the lavender mat, a color I think of feminine, even my husband thought this card would be appreciated by any of his male friends.

I softened the edges of the green striped DSP with Night of Navy classic ink and then continued with the navy color in the Sentiment – a simple ‘Birthday Wishes’ in navy. A personal message on the inside and this is ready for the postman. The main thing I find with a ‘guy card’ is to keep it simple.
