Thank you for stopping by to see the lovely floral card I created with the Field Flowers Stamp Set and the new Floral District Designer Paper.
I had fun creating this monochromatic card using 2 of the new In Colors, Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple. After I stamped the image on the Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out using the only Labels Collection die that was both large enough to hold my stamped image and small enough to fit on an A2 card base, I made a discovery. As stamped, I could only cut it one way and doing so ended up with a panel where either the text or the points of the label were kitty-wonkus. Not what I wanted, so I pulled out my handy Stamp-a-ma-jig and Cut another piece of Whisper white and this time stamped after the labels was cut and Voila! It turned out just as I had envisioned.
After I tried out a variety of embellishments at the points and none were the perfect color I looked at my Basic pearls package and decided to try dying a couple with Raspberry Ripple. I liked the results and it was so easy . I just cut 2 off the package and used a sponge dauber to rub the ink on. Since I wasn’t sure about using the he gun I set them aside for about 5-10 min. while I completed the rest of this card and when I went to place them on the completed card the ink was dry.
I hope you enjoy seeing this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Look for more new product samples and info in the next few weeks.
