Here is card number two with the Betsy’s Blossom stamp set. For this one I stamped the bird in Raspberry Ripple and the flowers in Primrose Petals. I stamped the Woodgrain background stamp in Soft suede on on piece of Crumb cake and then trimmed it to a tree trunk shape by following the curve of the grain.
I then stamped 5 of the huge flowers with Gumball green on Whisper white by stamping once then stamping a second one without re-inking the stamp. I did this twice and then did a final 1st generation image giving me 3 first generation stamped images and 2- 2nd generation stamped images. Then I punched out all 5 with the scallop punch. The 1st generation images were then rotated and punched again to give a smaller more pointed scallop edge. These 3 were glued to the top of the trunk extending beyond the edge of the card a bit. I sponged the edges of final 2 scallops with Old Olive ink and attached them along the bottom as bushes. I then trimmed the excess that extended beyond the card front before gluing the flowers and bird in place and adding the sentiment with Soft Suede Ink.
I hope you enjoy seeing this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Look for more new product samples and info in the next few weeks.
