Happy Birthday to You!

Amongst the swap cards I received were three birthday cards. The first one was created by the talented Carla Branton. She used the Shimmery white paper to die cut the dragonfly which was adhered to the Blushing Bride cardstock which she embossed with the Falling Petals Embossing Folder. The petals sure look like hearts to me, what do you think? The sentiment was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink using the Dragon Dreams stamp set. I like the look the gold thread nested beneath the die cut though getting it to stay in place is often difficult, especially after the card has been handled a few times. for the card base she used the new Thick white cardstock by Stampin’ Up. I don’t like how well it stamps on but if you want a white card base it is much sturdier than the Whisper White.

This next card is the work of Stacey Lane, a very talented Demonstrator who has just moved from WA to Texas. She started with the Cool Treats Stamp set and the Frozen Treats Framelits. This card is packed with details to make you wish summer was here. She used the Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Squares Framelits, Tags & Labels Framelits and the new Seaside Embossing Folder to add dimension and interest to all the layers. For added ah ha, she used the Tasty Treats Designer paper and embellished with pearls,Delicate DoiliesSilver Glimmer paper and staples. All in all, a very Yummy card! IMG_2978

The final birthday card was created by our talented Liz Mitchell. This card was stamped with the Balloon Adventures stamp set using Pacific Point, Emerald Envy, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango inks. I love the way she created a double mat on the front using emerald envy cardstock and Party Animal DSP. The Party Animal charm on the front is a lovely touch especially tying it on with a white bakers twine bow.IMG_2972And wow look at all the cool details on the inside. The pop up was created using the Balloon pop up thinlits die with the stamping done after the die cutting. I love all the awesome details of the candles along the bottom and the streamers along the top. IMG_2975

I feel so fortunate to be part of a team of very talented Demonstrators.

‘Til next time…Happy Stamping!
