A New Edge Stamping variation for Mom

Edge Stamping for Mom

Continuing from my last post about Stamping-on-the-Edge. As I mentioned I had a new idea as I was writing that post. I would like to show you a new edge stamping concept.

Using my last landscape edge stamping card as a starting piece, I changed it to a two layer card.

Step one is to cut  a 5½ by 8½ piece of Tiptop Taupe cardstock. Then  create a gatefold cardbase by scoring at 2″ and 6¼”. Fold in at the scores and burnish with a bone folder. Set aside.

Step 2 is to cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4¼” by 5½”. Next I stamped along the bottom of the long edge of this card about 1″ up from the edge. After stamping on the Whisper White cardstock, I trimmed away the bottom edge below the flowers.

Step 3 is to wrap a piece of the new Sweet Sugarplum Ribbon around the top.  Tie it with a knot close to one side.

Step 4 is  to adhere the stamped piece to the large flap using Stampin Dimensionals.

Finally as a last step, I  added some of the new Sprinkles Embellishments from pg. 32 of the 2017 Occasions catalog.    Edge Stamping inside view

And Voila! A hidden sentiment on the lower flap and this card is ready to go.
