Just a little Thank you!

Today I decided to play with a few more products from the 2017 Occassion’s catalog. I started with the awesome That’s a Tag stamp set and stamped the outline of the tag with Versamark ink on some watercolor paper and heat embossed the dotted outline with gold embossing powder. That turned out pretty cool so I stamped the floral arc with Memento Black and used the new Watercolor pencils and my water brush to color it in. then I lifted some of the pale bleu from the pencil with my waterbrush and filled in the background. I then stamped thank you with Memnto Black and went to die cit out my image. OOps! If I placed the die on and ran it thru my big shot, I’d have a hole in the top. So I placed the die on -taped down with a post it note and cranked it thru with the top plate only covering the bottom two thirds of the die, then I removed the die and turned it upside down and cut the remainder again with the top plate not covering the section of the die that had the hole it. Voila! a perfect oval that fit the stamps. But then I discovered that non of my scallop oval dies were  a match and I had my heart set on a scallop mat. So I grabbed a scallop die that was a little larger and proceeded to do surgery. I cut into the oval between 2 scallops and cut out the inside leaving a thin ring of scallops. then I carefully clipped the inside between each scallop making it flexible and after placing liquid glue on the back of the watercolor piece along the edge – I carefully placed the scalloped mat in place trimming off the excess. Neat – huh!
I placed a piece of Falling in Love Designer Series Paper on the base of Rich Razzleberry and decided it needed something to ground it  so I added a piece of the Cucumber Crush stripped Grosgrain ribbon across the front about a third of the way up. I attached my art piece on top with dimensionals. But it needed something more so I pulled out my Dazzling Details and added so to the flower and a few dots scattered about in the tops of some of the hearts. Now that the way to say thank you!

‘Til next time…Happy Stamping!
