This was a fun set to make. I created a tall, thin yet wide box to hold a thank you gift and a card to match. For the Box I used Sweet Sugar Plum cardstock as my base and put panels of the Falling in Love DSP on all of the sides. Then I created an art piece panel for the front using the That’s a Tag stamp set. I stamped the Thank you sentiment in the center of a 3″ x 3″ piece of Whisper White, Then I stamped the floral stems in Emerald Envy ink and filled in the design with flower with leaves in Peekaboo Peach ink. I then used the pen end of the Sweet Sugarplum Marker and traced the outline of flower buds on the floral stem covering up the emerald envy I had stamped the entire image with. For the other flowers I traced the leaf outlines with Emerald Envy ink. Next I filled in the leaves with Wild Wasabi using a Blender pen and the flowers with Peekaboo Peach And Sweet Sugarplum. The Blender pens give the ink a softer look than the same color from a marker of stamp. I added little dots of Delightful Dijon to the centers of the Peach Flowers and Finished off the box with a bow using the Bermuda Bay Stitched ribbon.
For the matching card I started with a side fold A2 cardbase in Sweet Sugarplum and placed a piece of the Falling in Love DSP as a mat. I cut a banner from Whisper White that I adhered a die cut in Soft Sky card from the Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies. I then used our new Watercolor pencils to color in the daisy and smoothed the color with my waterbrush. I add a flag of the ribbon I used on the box and a sentiment banner by stamping the thank you on a strip of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and cutting fishtails on both ends. Quick, easy and fun to make.
‘Til next time…Happy Stamping!
