Playing with the Wood Crate Framelits being released on June 1st was so much fun. At the Stampin’ Up Onstage in April 2017, I made this adorable wood crate kit.   Using the new Wood Crate Framelits cut 2 out of new Woodgrain Designer Paper. The little 3 by 3 cards inside uses the new Wood Words stamp set.

The cards inside…

Take a 3″ by 6″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and score and fold at 3″ to make a 3″ square cardbase. Next decorate the front with a 1″ by 3″ piece of Wood Textures Designer paper along the bottom. then in the center of the space above the Designer paper stamp a solid image. This kit contains 3 small cards.

First the Rooster was stamped in Real Red Ink.  Then the Sentiment was stamped on top of the rooster in Early Espresso Ink.

Finally wrap a piece of linen twine around the card tying it with a bow just along the top of the wood textures Designer paper.
 On the second card, I stamped the heart with Bermuda Bay Ink. Then I stamped the Hello, Friend sentiment with Early Espresso ink.This third card is a Thank you in Early Espresso stamped over the Star. I used Crushed Curry Ink for the star.

I really enjoyed making this kit. Placing the crate with its cards inside a cellophane bag and tying it off with the gorgeous new Copper Ribbon Trim. I think this would make a great thank you gift to a friend or hostess. Don’t you?
