2017-19 InColors rule! For this blog hop, I paired up the new In Colors with the Eastern Palace suite. See what I come up as I play with this suite. I pulled out my Suite items for the first time today and decided to try to use all 5 colors and the stamps and dies in this suite. So pull up a chair and check out what happens when the 2017-19 In Colors meet the Eastern Palace suite. Since I am in the middle of creating a cute fairy box for my next box post, I designed another variation on that box.
2017-19 InColors Fold up Box
As a result first out the gate is a fold up box using tranquil Tide as the cardstock base. Instead of using designer paper as a mat, Lemon lime Twist cardstock came to the rescue. After adding Fresh Fig re-inker to some of the new Stampin up Embossing Paste, I applied a layer of embossing paste with diamond stencil for my mat. Then I grabbed my Eastern Palace thinlits and my cardstock scraps and created a layered medallion. In addition to using the thinlits I punched a 2″ circle out of Tranquil Tide that I covered with Wink of Stella and layered it behind the medallion. Further I added a tail of Powder Pink Ribbon under the medallion and a glitter enamel dot to the center on top.
Love this CASE
Sometimes my mind goes blank. When it does I look for cards to case. A desperate search of the internet took me to Mary White’s blog for the first time and I tried this card as my jumping of point. By the time I finished this card – I was ready to play on my own again.
2017-19 InColors with Eastern Palace and some paste
After starting with stamped circles, I made a stencil from one of the dies. Since I had just a little glittered embossing paste leftover from my technique classes on Fri., I decided to add it to my leftover Fresh Fig Embossing paste. More leftovers – from the box. Now I had sparkly Fresh Fig embossing paste. Random embossing the geometric ring produced dimensional circles. But I still have a girly delicate card that will make a great gift to send to a friend. Using the scallop layering die to cut out the powder pink medallion makes it almost look like a prize ribbon. My base is thick Very Vanilla and looks even better in person.

I love the final sample, “let’s be friends forever”! It’s so whimsical and fun! I love that you show how well the In Colors work together and how you challenged yourself to “use it all”!
