Bottle Messages can be funny or serious. The new Message in a Bottle stamp set contains all sorts of fun elements to keep a smile on your face. Despite not owning this cool stamp set my self, I enjoyed making 2 fun new cards. Since my daughter purchased and designed a quick fun card at her last Card class, I got lucky. After making her design, I borrowed her stamp set. And the rest is history.

This first card I decided to turn my bottle on its side. I put the ship in the bottle. Then I created the waves by  stamping the wave stamp several times. After the waves I stamped the whale on the water. Next I pounced a yellow sponge with soft sky ink onto the sky area. Then I stamped the sentiment on the front on Early Espresso ink. In addition added two mats to frame the design. One in Fresh Fig and one in Soft Suede. Finally to finish the outside I added a mini Fresh Fig bow to the top of the bottle.

Since the outside makes you think for the inside of the card I stamped the adorable mermaid. Her message will make anyone smile.

Due to the awesome design skills of Jennifer, this makes a great guy card. After making this card I just had to use this stamp set again. Because of the Pinewood plank embossing folder the feel of this card is more masculine and serious. Despite the Wink of Stella in the water this says ‘guy card’ to me. What do you think?
