This month I started a second Stamp Club. Do you live in Whatcom County ? Want the fun of stamping with others, learning something new every month? Plus every 3-6 months as hostess you get new product for free! You can choose from the first Friday at 7pm or the first Tuesday at 10am. This month we are making 3 gifts we will containerize. We will be making 3 boxes or gift containers to hold your gifts as the season of giving starts up.
Containerize your Lite
When I saw this awesome new Stamp & die set, I decided to see if I could make a functional lantern. Since the Lantern Builder Framelits has two distinctly different lanterns my first step was to pick my lantern design. Then I needed to chose my materials. While appearance is important, functionality is key as well. As a result the main body needed to be either vellum or window plastic. I chose the softer appearance of the vellum. Then paired it up with basic black for a wrought iron feel. Due to the shape of the die cut all four sides could not be identical. So I removed the filagree from the two side panels. After assembling the lantern I put a battery operated tealight inside.
Containerize a stocking
For our second container we made a stocking box. This was a design I came up with for a demonstrator event last month. All the details can be found in this post.
Containerize your Coffee
For the third container, I created a small box to hold a decorated mini coffee cup. Back in August one of my customers saw the double mini coffee cup holder on Dawn Griffin’s site and asked if I could show her how to do it. I duplicated that and then decided to try to make a similar design for holding one cup instead of two. I used the Merry cafe stamp set from the 2017 Holiday catalog along with the retired Cucumber Crush cardstock and Designer Series Paper from last year. Now that is a color I would like to see return when Stampin’ Up does a color renovation. How about you? What color have they retired that YOU want back?
If you are interested in attending either of my stamp clubs email me at kathy@stampablog.com to sign up. For those who live live too far away, I am offering detailed tutorials for $5 ea.
